About Me

I’ve been working as a counsellor for 11 years now. I chose to become a counsellor as I wanted to help people, having experienced for myself how it can make a big difference to people’s lives.

Previously I’ve lived in many different places, including time spent overseas, which I believe has made me pretty open-minded and accepting. Also I’ve had a variety of different jobs, including academia, legal work, IT and being a coach/trainer, and I believe in drawing upon all my life experience in my work as a counsellor.

Counselling Experience

7 years’ experience working in an NHS Occupational Health department; cumulatively 5 years’ experience working in several local charities; 9 years working in private practice; and 3 years working in a University wellbeing service.

I also work as a tutor, teaching counselling skills to student counsellors.
